Day 1: Nairobi – Amboseli

Upon landing at Jomo Kenyatta International Airport, you will be warmly welcomed by a representative from Amazing Memories Safaris & Tours. After a short safari briefing and introduction to your driver-guide, you’ll begin your journey to Amboseli National Park.

About Amboseli National Park:
Stretching across the Kenya–Tanzania border, this vast savannah ecosystem is world-renowned as one of the best places in Africa to view large herds of free-roaming elephants, numbering over 1,600. Apart from elephants, Amboseli is rich in other wildlife and offers stunning vistas of Mount Kilimanjaro. Visitors can also interact with the Maasai community and enjoy picture-perfect African sunrises and sunsets.

You’ll reach Amboseli Serena Lodge in time for lunch. This luxury lodge is located right inside the park, allowing close proximity to wildlife encounters. After some rest, head out at 4 PM for your first afternoon game drive. Since your lodge is within the park, wildlife sightings start almost immediately. Return around 6 PM for dinner and an overnight stay at the lodge.

Day 2: Exploring Amboseli

You can choose from two safari styles today:

Option 1: Embark on an early morning game drive, return for breakfast, then spend the late morning at leisure—relaxing, swimming, or simply unwinding. After lunch, enjoy another evening game drive before returning for dinner and overnight at the lodge.

Option 2: Have an early breakfast and spend the whole day exploring Amboseli with a packed lunch. Return in the evening for dinner and overnight.

Day 3: Amboseli – Ol Pejeta Conservancy

After breakfast, check out and drive north to Ol Pejeta Conservancy. This remarkable conservancy is the only home on earth to the last two northern white rhinos, Najin and Fatu. It also hosts Sweetwaters Chimpanzee Sanctuary—the only one of its kind in Kenya—and East Africa’s largest black rhino sanctuary.

Arrive in time for lunch at Sweetwaters Serena Camp, a luxury tented camp nestled inside the conservancy. Later in the afternoon, set off on a game drive before returning for dinner and overnight at the camp.

Day 4: Full Day at Ol Pejeta

After breakfast, head out with a packed lunch for a full day of game viewing at Ol Pejeta. Expect to spot the “Big Five,” wild dogs, numerous bird species, and the world’s last two northern white rhinos.

You’ll also visit Sweetwaters Chimpanzee Sanctuary to observe and learn about rescued and orphaned chimps. Return to camp in the evening, enjoy dinner, and unwind to the sounds of soft African music before overnighting at the lodge.

Day 5: Ol Pejeta – Lake Naivasha

After breakfast, depart Ol Pejeta for Lake Naivasha, arriving at Sawela Lodge in time for lunch. After checking in, relax and enjoy the property before heading out at 4 PM for a boat ride on the lake. Guided by local captains, you’ll spot hippos and an array of bird species.

Continue with a walking safari at Crescent Island Game Sanctuary, famous for its wildlife density and opportunities for photography, birdwatching, and open-air exploration. Return to the lodge for dinner and overnight.

Day 6: Lake Naivasha – Maasai Mara

After breakfast, leave Naivasha and drive to the world-famous Masai Mara Game Reserve. Known as Africa’s premier safari destination, the Mara offers abundant wildlife, including the Big Five, and hosts the spectacular wildebeest migration between July and October.

Arrive for lunch at Sarova Mara Lodge, a luxury property located in the Mara Triangle Conservancy—an area teeming with wildlife. After settling in, head out for an evening game drive before dinner and overnight at the lodge.

Day 7: Full Day in Masai Mara

After breakfast, set out with packed lunches for a full-day safari across the Masai Mara plains. Search for lions, leopards, elephants, buffalo, and rhinos, and if visiting between July and October, witness the thrilling Great Migration along the Mara River. Return in the evening for dinner and overnight at the lodge.

Day 8: Another Day in Masai Mara

Choose how to experience the Mara today:

Option 1: Early morning game drive, return for breakfast, relax at the lodge, then head out again for afternoon and evening drives.

Option 2: Enjoy a full-day game drive with a packed lunch, covering more ground in search of wildlife and migration crossings.

Option 3: (Optional, USD 450 per person) Experience a hot air balloon safari at sunrise, followed by champagne breakfast and game drives. Later, you may also visit a Maasai village before returning to the lodge for dinner and overnight.

Day 9: Masai Mara – Nairobi

After breakfast, check out and enjoy a game drive en route to Nairobi. Stop at the Great Rift Valley viewpoint for breathtaking panoramas and photography opportunities.

You will see iconic landmarks such as Mount Longonot, Lake Naivasha, Lake Elementaita, and Lake Nakuru from the escarpment. Browse local curio shops before continuing to Nairobi. Depending on your flight schedule, you may engage in optional city activities before transfer to the airport for departure.
